A Fresh Start: Q1 Social Marketing Impact
At Texas Center for Local Food’s Fresh Look Project, we’re dedicated to increasing access to fresh, local food for SNAP shoppers across Texas. As 2025 begins, we’re thrilled to share the results of our first-quarter social marketing efforts!
Throughout the 2024 fiscal year, we focused on understanding how to better connect with SNAP-eligible shoppers. We conducted a survey that provided valuable insights into how shoppers learn about their market’s SNAP program and what keeps them coming back. With these findings, we collaborated with expert marketers to revamp our advertising strategies and hosted a webinar to share actionable tips with our partner markets. You can view our TXFED.org webinar “Promoting SNAP at Your Farmers Market” with Nora Chovanec here!
The results speak for themselves. Our November Meta Ad campaign reached an estimated 435,424 SNAP-eligible shoppers—an 4x increase from the previous year’s campaign. This expanded reach means more families are discovering their local farmers markets, spending SNAP benefits with local farmers, and boosting their local economies.
We’re proud of this success and grateful for the enthusiasm of our partners and SNAP shoppers. Together, we’re building stronger communities and making fresh, local food accessible to all.
