AJ brings experience in executive leadership, project management, and community collaboration. For over 12 years, she partnered with global organizations to drive digital transformation, operational efficiency, and organizational change. Her expertise in solving complex business challenges, managing cross-functional teams, and advising senior executives now serves as a foundation for her transition into agriculture and climate-focused work. In 2024, AJ left that world to become a beginning farmer in Bastrop County.

Motivated by a commitment to environmental resilience and sustainable food systems, AJ is channeling her consulting expertise into supporting agricultural innovation for beginning farmers, climate adaptation strategies, and sustainability initiatives. She is particularly passionate about bridging business strategy with ecological impact, helping organizations pursue growth while reducing their environmental footprint. AJ currently serves on the Urban County Committee for the Farm Service Agency (USDA FSA) in Harris County and is a member of the Small Landowner Carbon Collaborative in partnership with BCarbon, Prairie View A&M University and the US Business Council for Sustainable Development, underscoring her dedication to advancing sustainable agriculture as a key part of climate solutions and local food systems.

AJ holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Anthropology from Rice University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Houston. She resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and two children, and farms in Smithville, TX.
