Katie is the Local Food Coordinator at the Texas Center for Local Food. 

Before attending graduate school at Texas State University, she managed small-scale, diversified vegetable farms for nearly five years in Texas and California. 

At Texas State, Katie facilitated farmer training and technical assistance programs with the Small Producers Initiative and earned her MS in Integrated Agricultural Sciences.

In her current role, Katie is excited to connect Texas farmers with critical resources and programs. She continues to work part-time on a vegetable farm in Austin.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her partner on their property, reading novels, playing with her two dogs, and relaxing at the beautiful San Marcos River.
