Yalanda G. Henderson, LCSW-S, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Dallas ISD Mental Health Services, and also contracts with various agencies to provide therapy for children in foster care.

Her interest in agriculture began when she and her family started a home garden at the onset of COVID-19. The garden has become an integral part of her daily life and self-care routine. 

Yalanda has furthered her knowledge in agriculture by taking various classes, including the Community Citizen’s Garden Series and coursework for the Texas Master Gardeners program. 

She has also attended several workshops and conferences to expand her expertise.

Yalanda hopes to one day combine agriculture and behavioral therapy to support her clients’ mental well-being.
