Appleby Community Farm

In 2007, a move to Nacogdoches, TX, was initially planned to purchase and operate a Bed and Breakfast. However, an unexpected detour led the focus to farming, and Appleby Community Farm was born. During this time, exposure to the issues surrounding industrial agriculture, particularly through Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan, sparked a deep commitment to becoming part of the solution. The farm values growth, justice, equality, and environmental protection, while promoting a safe and affordable food system. Emphasizing sustainable practices, Appleby Community Farm produces high-quality organic vegetables and fosters community. A CSA program is available, along with farm tours by appointment.
