Bernhardt’s Fruit & Veggie Farm

Bernhardt's Fruit & Veggie Farm is a family-owned operation on thirteen acres in Elgin. Our mission is to provide chemical and pesticide-free, locally grown, fresh produce to the people of Central Texas. We have a young 70-tree orchard consisting of pecan and various fruit trees and grow a wide variety of berries, grapes, and vegetables year-round. After graduating in 2011, they decided to farm full time and built a licensed commercial kitchen on the farm so that they could make value-added goods out of the things they grow like sorbet, pickles, jam, salsa, sauces, pesto and prepared entrees.

The Bernhardts moved to the family homestead in 2007 to look after Alex’s 88-year old dad and started gardening for fun. While working on his business degree at Concordia, the hobby continued to grow and grow and grow.
