Farm stand open weekly on Saturdays. However, it is often closed July and August due to heat so please check with us first!
Green Gate Farms, a certified organic community farm, was established by us (Skip Connett and Erin Flynn) in an underserved neighborhood in east Austin in 2006.
Working off-farm jobs to fund our efforts, we restored the historic Bergstrom farmstead to create a community resource, now agrihood, for neighbors of all incomes. In 2010, we added 30+ acres - our "River Farm" on Wilbarger Bend -- a few miles west of Bastrop. Our vision is to cultivate organic farms and agrihoods that nourish land and body, mind and soul.
