Yalanda G. Henderson, LCSW-S is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Dallas ISD Mental Health Services and also contracts with various agencies to provide therapy for children in foster care. Yalanda’s interest in agriculture started when she & her family started their home garden during the onset of Covid 19. Her home garden plays an intricate part in her daily life and her self-care. Yalanda has also taken a variety of classes (i.e., Community Citizen’s Garden Series and completed course work for the Texas Master Gardeners’ program) and has attended a variety workshops & conferences to further her knowledge base in agriculture/gardening. She is hoping to one day infuse agriculture & behavioral therapy services together to help her client’s mental well being.
